Steph joins the staff after starting her strength training and sports performance journey in 8th grade. She quickly understood how beneficial strength training was and wanted to help others realize the same thing.
Steph received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science with a Nutrition minor from Grove City College in May of 2021. During her time at Grove City, she was a member of the Women’s Golf and Basketball teams, the Exercise Science Club and she held a job working in the college weight room. She also obtained her CSCS certification during that time. At the beginning of her college career, she underwent two knee surgeries which led her to have the opportunity to be familiarized with and shadow Physical Therapists as well as Athletic Trainers treating a variety of different injuries.
Steph has had the opportunity to complete sports performance internships with UPMC as well as AHN, both of which helped her gain knowledge in formatting programs for people of all ages, abilities, and sports. She has also worked at the YMCA in their sports department as well as helping with their youth and family department. Currently she works part time at D1 Training in Cranberry where she coaches athletes of all ages and sports through their group training sessions as well as personal training sessions.
